Digital Advertising in India, a report, has been published by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB International. Some of the findings are

1) The Online advt market in India is projected to reach Rs 3,575 crore by Mar 2015. This corresponds to YOY growth of 30%

2) Search and Display are the top two contributors to Digital Advt spends in India

3) Search ads constitute 38%, Display ads 29% and Social Media contributing 13% of overall Digital Spends

4) Advt spends on Mobile Devices are growing at a CAGR of 43% and Social Media at a CAGR of 41% y-o-y

5) E-Commerce, Telecom and FMCG & Consumer durables are the top 3 verticals spending on Digital Advt in India.

Mysoredasara.gov.in – Official Website of Dasara 2014 Launched

The official website of Dasara 2014 has been launched by the govt & is available at mysoredasara.gov.in. The website has been launched by Dot Angle in association with National Information Centre and District Administration. The website is available in English & Kannada. The social media of Dasara 2014 is officially available on facebook & twitter.

Some new features have been added to the website such as whatsapp updates, public eye & others. Live webcast of the events will be available on the website. An account on Youtube, Instagram & flickr would help connect with the audience more easily. Food & Accommodation section provides info on the hotels, resorts & dining/lodging places in and around Mysore.

Google Launchpad in India – Google Startup Mentorship Programme

Google will bring its startup mentorship programme Launchpad to India in November. This is a testimony of the start up ecosystem in India & the thriving business opportunities for start ups. Company has identified 10 start ups as part of the launchpad & will be held in Bangalore between Nov 3 to 7. This will help start ups build at scale & Google is planning to do it on a monthly basis in a year or two from now.

CoSight, iReff Technologies, Smart Pocket & others are some of the part of the start-ups. Launchpad started in Israel and several such programs have been held around the world. Several big IT companies are providing start up programs in India & this has helped start ups to get the necessary technical & entrepreneurial support to scale up their operations.
